The annual meeting is held each year to bring the NEIRC member, company's
and associates to date about the NEIRC past year operations and
to introduce the past officers.
This was the time to vote for your choice of officers and
directors for the coming year if there are any openings for a
position with the BOD. The NEIRC always urges members to get
involved with your association.
The meeting was called to order by President
Robin Deschene at The Westford Regency Hotel in
Westford, MA on Thursday January 11,
2007 with over 40 members attending.

The NEIRC officers presented a report of their duties and results
within the NEIRC for the past year.
Bob Bills, presented the Treasurer's report
stating that the NEIRC is solvent and expects the association
solvent well into the future years.
Mike Aviva, Vice President for the 2007 year gave the member
status report of 103 active members and associates for the year
2006. Mike is also the Membership Chairman and expects we will
surpass that mark as more professionals learn about the NEIRC and
what if has to offer.
Senior Vice President, David Mavilio and also our
Publications/Public Relations Committee officer reported more
activity of regional meeting, schools and events. David has been
working on a line up well into the year and has requested that other
members volunteer to work on committees.
The NEIRC directory and newsletter are on
schedule with distribution shortly and the newsletter is on a
quarterly basis. If anyone has nay suggestions for an event, please
let david know your thoughts.
The new Treasurer and Connections Representative
Paul Thompson, presented details about Connections in Florida and
Las Vegas. Paul has spent the past years with Connections as a past
president and chair person working on the many benefits that
Connections has to offer our members as well as our industry.
Members receive discounts when attending the Connections and the
NEIRC benefits as a member of Connections, it's a win, win for
everyone.
Barry Lichtenstein, the IICRC representative
reported interesting facts about the IICRC and informed us of the
new standards being released soon. Barry stated the new standards
take many months of research and effort from each member of the
committee providing accuracy as well as important working
information.
Bob Goffredo, the NEIRC web master reported as of
January 1st the web site
www.neirc.org was updated providing ease of use as well as a
more understandable description of what your company provides as a
service. The newsletters and reminders are sent out twice per month
with updates of schools, course, workshops, regional meetings,
general information and reminders. Each member has their
responsibility to keep their companies web site information updated
by emailing Bob at bobgoff@msn.com.
Ideas that may provide more services or information to the web site
is encouraged and welcomed.
The Nominating committee Barry Lichtenstein and
Clerk of the NEIRC reported due to the lesser amount of volunteers
to fill the positions of Regional Directors we have reverted to the
original slate of NEIRC positions. A President, Senior Vice
President, Vice President, Treasurer, Associate Representative and
Clerk. The positions have extra duties attached to the each position
and with all positions being filled except for the Associate
Director a ballot vote was done and Phil Mejia was elected to fill
the position of Associate Director.
President Robin Deschene presented appreciation
awards to Robert Bills a member of the NEIRC BOD for over 12 years
and to Robert Goffredo who has served on several NEIRC BOD.
President Robin Deschene Spoke on the many
advantages we all have as members and colleagues of the NEIRC and
what accomplishments we have made during the last year. Robin handed
out five sealed letters to various members with instructions not to
open them until she called out the number. As Robin spoke she would
call out a number and that person had to talk about the subject such
as, "I will attend regional meetings" and the person had to agree to
attend the regional meetings. The sealed letters were opened and
each member offered the information and spoke briefly on the subject
of the letter.
The meeting adjourned with all members enjoying the camaraderie
of the NEIRC and it's membership.
